Dear Community Leader,

Thank you for your support of United Way of St. Joseph County.  Being a trusted steward of your contributions, to help advance the common good, is an important responsibility we take very seriously.  Our goal is to create long-lasting change by addressing the underlying causes of problems, creating better opportunities for a better life for everyone.
                  
United Way focuses on the building blocks for a good life: a quality education leading to a stable job; income which will support a family through retirement; and good health and quality of life. However, as you know, our community is confronted with numerous issues created by insufficient education, inadequate income, and  poor health.

We’re sure you agree that these unacceptable conditions create hardship and pain not only for those directly affected, but compromise the productivity and health of our entire community.  Therefore, your personal support, as well as financial contributions from your company and your employees, is essential to help create opportunities for a better life for everyone.   With your commitment and continued support, children can be ready to succeed in school and graduate from high school. Childcare can be reliable and affordable. The number of families who are financially stable and who engage in healthy lifestyles will grow.

This vision for a better community is not easy work. But, it is important work requiring participation from everyone. This vision requires not only financial support but advocacy for those who do not have a voice. And, it requires personal participation through volunteer service.
 
Now is the time for you and your employees to give, advocate, and volunteer. Help us create opportunities for a better tomorrow.
